As required by the FPPC, for the reporting period ending on April 23, 2022, Kevin Jensen for Sheriff 2022 releases the campaign’s financial statement. Total contributions received in this period was $128,277, this combined with total contributions at the end of 2021, brings the campaign total contributions to slightly over $200,000.

According to the weekend edition 4/30/21-5/1/21 of the Palo Alto Daily Post, “Jensen has largest warchest… Add in last year’s donations, and Jensen has raised four times as much as Jonsen.”

In response to the release of this campaign information. “We feel the enthusiasm with our grassroots base, and I am so thankful to the many supporters who are backing me for Sheriff.

I have received and continue to receive widespread bi-partisan endorsements from community and business leaders, current and past elected officials and many unions including the South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council, CEMA County Employees Management Association, and nearly all police and deputy unions inside and outside of Santa Clara County.  I am particularly excited to have received a historic 97%-member vote from the Santa Clara County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association.  It is very encouraging to have the support of law enforcement, both active and retired, officers and rank and file and from the community. This is an important election and I’m finding that many in the County believe, as I do, that it’s time for positive change at the Sheriff’s Office.”

Captain Jensen is a 28-year veteran of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office who has served in many Executive Management and Management positions and a wide range of administrative, operational, and tactical positions. These include serving in Patrol, Courts, Assistant Chief of the Department of Correction, the Elmwood Detention Facility Commander, Jail Administrative Commander, Stanford DPS Liaison - and served as the Risk Program Manager for California’s state-wide Urban Area Security Initiatives, a critical public safety component tasked with assisting with the prevention of terrorist acts as well as mitigation, response, and recovery. Captain Jensen holds a Masters’ Degree in Leadership, a bachelor’s degree in Management, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, as well as its Alumni Association California Chapter Past President.
